Lisbon, with more than 20 centuries of history, is the capital of Portugal. City of marbles and tiles was, in the 16th century, by the time of the Portuguese Discoveries, the biggest European commercial empire. The cultural patrimony, inherited since the Roman Empire and the long Moorish permanence, aside with the rich 18th and 19th centuries’ architecture, provide Lisbon with the grandiosity of the big European capitals.
a little bit of Lisbon

The city sprawls along the right bank of the Tagus River estuary, facing the sea. From there the Portuguese got the inspiration for the great maritime discoveries that, once, joined together people, civilizations and cultures.
The landmarks - Belém Tower and the magnificent Jerónimos Monastery - jewels of the manuelin style and both classified as World Heritage by UNESCO, are awaiting your visit.
In the eastern part of the city it is mandatory the visit to the Tile Museum, in the Madre de Deus Convent, unique in its kind, and to the Park of Nations, where the great Oceanarium is located and that housed the EXPO 98. City of museums and history, Lisbon is the new face of modernity, progress and cosmopolitanism in your visit in Portugal.
In the old quarters of Alfama, Mouraria or Alcântara, as well as in the Docks, by the Tagus River, the movement of the open air bars, restaurants and discos is intense. Lisbon offers outstanding gastronomy, liveliness, but also the Fado Spirit, the musical expression of the Portuguese soul.

Not far from Lisbon, in the Estoril and Cascais, there are beautiful beaches, inviting you to long by the sea. Surfing facilities, excellent golf courses as well as one of the most important Casinos in Europe are also part of our offer. Sintra, World Heritage, also near Lisbon, besides a breathtaking view, as written by Lord Byron, offers beautiful palaces, manor houses, villas and gardens, granting the title of Royal City.

The Serra da Arrábida Natural Park, Palmela and Azeitão, land of tasteful wines and delicate cheese, Sesimbra and Setúbal in the Sado River estuary, build up a surprising opportunity in your visit in Lisbon.

You may visit, as well, Caldas da Rainha, symbol and birthplace of popular ceramics. And, round the corner, there is Lourinhã, famous for the Dinosaurs’ evidences and the mediaeval village of Óbidos, protected by stone walls. The Alcobaça and Batalha Monasteries, both World Heritages, can be found on your way to Tomar, a reference visit in Portugal. It is a precious and fascinating city. It was, in time, the millenary head quarters of the Templar and of Christ Order. The Moslem Niche in the Convent of Christ is World Heritage.
